Preschool is a time for fun and play. From the youngest to
those who will soon be going off to big school, children learn much through
play; it is a natural way for them to learn important lessons to assist them
with skills needed for school readiness, and giving them a strong base for
Little Creations Nursery School and Crèche provides an
environment where children are encouraged to play, be creative and discover.
They also go through lessons prepared for each age group by their teacher,
which all creates a balance between freedom and routine.
Our curriculum is therefore based not only on the current needs
of children, but also on their future requirements – encouraging and inspiring
This is much more than learning about colours, numbers and the alphabet; it
includes a strong knowledge base that can support things like:
- thinking independently while being able to pay attention.
- developing language skills; to be understood and understand others
- developing problem-solving abilities
- drawing inferences
- making predictions
- being happy and eager to learn new things
- developing relationships with other children
Children also need to develop skills between language and
mental images, helping them express knowledge and thought.
Today, even Grade 1 children need to be prepared for the
demands placed on them by schools.
With a cognitive foundation, children are
more prepared, confident and independent.
It has been said that children with a pre-school education –
and with such skills as attention management, listening comprehension, language
skills and a positive attitude towards school and learning – are easier to
teach and cope better themselves.
We are committed to working with parents and teachers to
provide a positive school experience for our children, and therefore welcome
input and feedback from our parents and children.
Our professional staff is dedicated to the education
development and well-being of our children in an environment where our
children feel safe and confident.
